Oh no, any time but the spring! That's when the alligators come out of the bayous in north Houston and start eating people. Those who escape generally become zombies who develop a taste for human brains.

You might consider waiting until late June...

There is some confusion in your description of location. There is downtown (Central) and a Northside of Houston (aka Northside), so I'm unsure where exactly you are moving. I can tell you that the Northside in general is one of the worst locations to move to. That's probably the area with the worst crime. Downtown and surrounding areas are also fairly bad as far as crime. Here are some areas to stay away from, maybe you could look on a map and see if they are near the location you are moving to: Greenspoint; Sunnyside; any of the wards; Telephone Road; Denver Harbor; Magnolia; the ship channel; I-45 & Little York; all are some key areas to avoid.

Our city does have high crime rates as any large city does, but we do have lots of areas that are safe and very nice.

Best of luck to you on your move and welcome to Houston.

What do youf mean by North Central Houston. If you mean liek 45n and Crosstimbers, the crime rate is a little high and the neighborhood is a little ghetto. try moving further towards the beltway or more into town.
