This can happen periodically because your prenatal vitamins have extra iron in them. Iron causes constipation. Your OB/GYN would also recommend that you drink more water and have more fiber to help regulate your body. Even though you are only 7 weeks along, your body is recognizing something is different and is trying to reregulate itself to operate more efficiently. Hey wait until you get bigger and you have to literally go #1 every 10 -15 mins. Welcome to the world of pregnancy and motherhood

this may be caused by prenatal vitamins. they are high in iron and it causes constipation, you should ask your Dr for a stool softener. talk to your Dr anyway, you are having a baby why risk it

Nothing that happens to you is normal when you are pregnant, but rest assured, all these weird things will happen until the day you deliver, and then a whole new set of weird stuff will start to happen!!

the same thing happened to me i was constipated while I was preg. They told me Milk of Magnesia (i think....check on that though, your doctor or pharmicist would know) as long as its not diahrrea.....but it won't hurt to ask your doctor about it to.
