I don't think it matters, but if you're going through all the measuring, etc. you might as well just finish making them then.

I always premix my son's formula it's so much easier that way! Just calculate how many oz's your baby is eating a day and mix that amount. I have a plastic container that is 32 oz and I make 28 oz once a day. I pour the water in first then add the formula. The formula can be refrigerated up to 24 hours after that I wouldn't use it. There is nothing wrong with premixing it!

I used to pre-make my bottles for the night. I mixed the water and formula so they were ready to go and all I had to do was heat them up and they were ready. Don't worry about being confused, I think everyone is with there first. If you need some help or questions you can e-mail me at cinnycinda@yahoo.com

I used powder formula. I'd do up a big batch of bottles with only the water in them, and then only put powder in enough of them for 2 days worth of bottles. The pre-made ones go in the fridge until needed, and the bottles of water can sit on the counter and have powder added when the ones in the fridge are used up.

If you are making a bottle with powder formula you should measure the water first and then add the right amount of formula. The concentrate is the same thing I assume. I have only used powder formula. Don't make a bunch ahead of time, it does not stay long. Make it as you go. Once you have made a bottle with powder formula it is only good for two hours.

Get a juice container (one with measurements on the side incase you ever use powder formula).... shake the can of formula, open it... pour the formula into the pitcher.... add the water to the pitcher.... mix gently.... pour into pre-sterilized bottles.... store in the fridge until needed.

It is one scoop per every 2 oz of water. I just make mine as she needs it. BUT I do have bottles in the cupboard ready to go with water only so I just have to put the correct amount of formula into each bottle as needed. Hope this helps. If you decide to premix be sure to put in fridge (24 hours max) and don't re-serve a bottle thats used after an hour. good luck.
