It's all about rythmn, practice and Timming!
You need to spend some time just watching other people do double dutch. Watch how they move their feet. You have to keep the same rythmn going. When jumping in, just watch the ropes. When you get the timming down, just jump in when you can!

The trick is good eye-feet coordination. Some people are born with it, others have to practice to become good... and then some will never learn.

Just practice, maybe see if there is a Jump Rope team or organization in your area that you can practice with.

That's funny, when I wanted get really fit and like look really hott for my boyfriend, i would go in my room and just dance all the time. Some of the songs I listened to get me jumping was by Daft Punk, thats sort of like techno-ish electronic. Well I listened to the Pussy Cat Dolls, Nelly Furtado, haha now that i think about it, those are more dancing songs..hmm. but yeah, some upbeat songs by like Hot Hot heat, check out Goodnight goodnight or Middle of Nowhere, DEFINITELY check out The Strokes. Some of their really good songs are You Only live once, The end has no end, someday, 12:51, hard to explain, etcc.. Hmm..what else, stuff by Cascada, definitely, like that song bad boy lol, a lotta techno is good to dance to. have fun!! :]
