My daughter is 2 months old and has the flu virus. The doctor said that I should use saline drops and suction out her nose and use a cool mist humidifier. I have done all this but she is so miserable and she has a cough. I bought Little Remedies brand Little noses but the doctor doesn't have the chart for the dosage for a 10 pound baby. Has anyone used this with thier newborn and what dose did you use?

You can't give anything over the counter to an infant under six months without a direct order from the doctor, and it's really not good to give them anything under a year old. Reason being: over the counter medications like this can mask other, more serious, symptoms in a child that small. Don't give anything more than plain Tylenol at her age.

If the cough is worse when she lies down to sleep, try elevating her head a little - even let her sleep in her baby seat, she might be more comfortable.

I used little noses on my baby when he was three months old. All it is is saline, won't hurt the baby in the least little bit. If you use the decongestant little noses, only use for one at most two days otherwise it can cause a different kind of congestion.

This product is non-medicated so you can't overdose. All it really does is loosen up the sinus mucus. This will make it easier to use the bulb syringe too. The link below tells you all about it.
