im helping a friend edit his website and im trying to save the top banner as a whole picture. the website www.bullishinsider.com

if you look at the top it appears as if its a whole image with the words insider the banner but its actually the banner behind with the fonts placed in front.

the difference is some computers cant display the font if its not downloaded in their fonts folder "Jokewood font" and for those computers it will appear as basic text.

im trying to copy that whole banner into a photo editor and saving the whole picture as a .jpg so that everyone can see it regardless of fonts installed.

i hope that makes sense ... any help would be appreciated.

yea i tried the alt + print screen but the image goes wider than the screen. i was wondering if theres an easier way?
i guess i have to try and get 2 halves and match em together and then crop the other stuff out and save as a new file. any other info appreciated or if theres a way to save a wider shot please let me know. thx

I am not certain if I understand the question correctly.

It sounds like you did not make the banner yourself. right? if it's the case, I would first save the page on my desktop. Get rid of everything but the picture of the banner: buildingHeader.gif. Open the file with adobe photoshop. Times (mac & windows font) font looks very similar to the font on the website. add layers to write your headers. flatten the file and save as .jpg. then, upload/edit webpage as usual.

Just take a screen shot of the banner appearing correctly on some browser (do this by hitting "alt-prtScn" on your keyboard). Then open any image editing program, paste in your screenshot (CTRL-V) crop out the whole screen except for the banner, then save that image as a GIF or JPG file. Now use that image as your banner, and you're all set :)

I think i understand what you're trying to do. In that case, use a computer that can see the font and picture in the corret way, and just take a screenshot. It's the button on your keyboard that says "print screen" or "prt sc" or something. Once you hit it, the image will be on your clipboard as a thing you copied. Just go into paint or some basic program, hit paste, get rid of the stuff you don't want, and save the image.

Photoshop and some other picture editors let you add text to your picture and save the whole thing as a jpeg. Gimp (freeware) will let you do it.

Although, it may look different to how you see it since I'm running Firefox under Linux and I'm guessing you're not.
