Anyone old enough to have witnessed this time period would say that this is a correct statement. I can't begin to tell a younger person of the impact the music of the Beatles had on society. It was huge. It was world wide. It was multi-generational, changed fashion, concepts of religion, politics, ideas of societal rules and so much that I can't think deep enough to write about clearly.
That time period was a whirlwind of change and an energy that may not reappear for a long time. The Beatles provided the sound track for most of it, and opened the gates for the greats that followed.

Well I agree they are highly influential and definitely left an impression. My parents grew up with them and I grew up with them (parents played it for me)... to our family anyway they were always important.
Are you writing an essay or did you just word your question that way? lol. If you're writing an essay, you can take any stance, just make sure you defend your position and you'll be fine.
The sentence doesn't really make sense, though... I get what you mean but I'd re-word it. Like what do you mean by diverse? And what exactly do you mean by artistic? Lol. But you're probably not even writing a paper. I'm so in school mode!!

No. I think they were amazing musicians, very diverse, creative, and significant (together and solo); however, so many other things have happened that can't give Beatles the crown.
We have the Cold War, Rise of Communism, Fall of Communism, Break-up of the USSR, Fall of the Berlin wall etc...
In Art, you have music, painting, dance, theater always changing, growing, stretching.
Watch people like Michael Jordan and Shaun White vs. Olympians of the past. Things just keep getting better and better.

No, I do not. You must consider the space programs of us and Russia. From that we got microwave meals. Battery pwered drills, microwave ovens, telecommunications that were not even in science fiction in the 50's.
I also consider the Vietnam era as affecting a whole generation, mine. We changed a lot of things in the world because of it.

Yes, they were amazing, but John Lennon solo career made the most impact on me. So many of his songs still stand strong today.

This is a purely subjective question and cannot be supported. Why not the invention of acrylic paints, plastics, or the computer?

They were huge in the advancement of pop music. But honestly, I think they are given too much credit.

Of course. They represet the artistic and musical revolution of the moment. Who else do you can compare them with? (not talking about God and Jesus, obviously)
