There is something I was thinking about. When a person we love dies, are we sad, desperate, depressed because of ourselves or because of them? Are we sad because that person lost life or because we won't be able to live without that person? Do we want them to be alive because we couldn't live without them or...?
I don't know... I mean, I'm sure that if something like that happened to the person I love... I would kill myself because I couldn't live without Him... But I don't want Him to die (yet) because He deserves to live and because He has so much to give...
What do you think?

Predominatly, it is ourselves that we are sad about. Thats not to say that one does not feel sad for the person that lost their lives, but predominatly, ourselves. I heard once, that "death is a higher state of wellness." It helps me to put things in perspective.

People are sad because they miss the ones they lost. Think about it: nearly every religion tells us that (if we are good) we go to a better place. How could we be sad about that?

When my grandmother died, I was happy for her, though I loved her more than some of her own children. She was old and it was her time. Don't be sad for those who die, I doubt they are sad. And don't be sad for yourself either--you'll be seeing them in a little while. What's 10, 20, 50 years? It really is just a little while. Our lives are not that long.

One of my favorite quotes from a wonderful lady :
"To live in this world you must be able
to
do three things: to love what is mortal; to hold it against your bones
knowing your own life depends on it; and, when the time comes to let it
go,
to let it go. "

I think the person who dies has nothing to fear. Birth & Death are not in our control but the ppl he/she leaves behind suffers extremely.

All life ends. Love ends with life. The end of love is sad. The end of love is not the end of life. The end of life is death.

Death should not be sad or feared. It's natural.
