There seems to be a ton of whining by a lot of white people on here about how the black man is keeping them down. And how the black man is taking all the jobs. And the black man this, that and the other. I'm seriously sick of the pity parties. Like you told us - nobody owes you anything. If you can't succeed in life, it's your own fault. Not mine. Or is it a double standard when it's YOU?

Alot of white people do not understand the life that many blacks have to face. They just can't relate to the black peoples burdens, struggles and trials. This poor mantality is due to the fact they have never experienced slavery, or have never been denied any educational, finacial, or political oppritunites. Therefore alot of whites are spoiled and want to have things there way, and may get all upset about a small portion of power that blacks have gain in society.

Some people who are used to being given advantages get uneasy when there is an equal playing field. Now with so many people immigrating to the US and with educational opportunities expanding to more demographics, the job arena is becoming more and more competitive. Also many more people in corporate positions of authority are beginning to look less at race and sex when seeking qualified people. They are looking for the power players regardless of what package they come in. Just look at our government as microcosm of corporate America. Condoleeza Rice, Nancy Pelosi, Barak Obama, Hilary Clinton. The glass ceiling is beginning to crumble and people are getting nervous. Their livelihood is at stake and the only logical reaction to some is to lash out instead of work harder.
For some people the "good old days" was when people were discriminated against and not given a fair shake. In those days if you were white and male, you just had to show up. Now "white privilege", though it is not totally obsolete, it is becoming more and more a thing of the past. People are finally beginning to judge based on character, and those who don't want to conform can't handle it.

Aren't you being a bit prejudice yourself. your are being a bit racist. Its black people who yell discrimination more then whites, as you yourself are yelling discrimination or being discriminated against. because you are yelling about white people.
As you have said "no one owes you anything," so why should whites pay for what our ancestors did?
" you brought it all on yourself." so it goes both ways don't it? As you have also said, if you (meaning whites) can't succeed in life then its your fault not ours. So if blacks don't succeed in life as well. who's fault is it?
the black person or the white person. Aren't blacks as well as whites free to educate themself. if so, then maybe you should educate your own self
Maybe you should look to yourself as well, and ask why. We each choose our own way. some want to succeeed ,while others give up.

White people are becoming sacred that Black people have rights now. That is why they complain, because Black people are actually becoming more like them in society. However, what white people don't realize that they still have more power. So when whites whine the it is only because they are starting to realize that people don't think that white people are the best anymore.

I'm mentally disabled. I 'whine'. The founding fathers of the United States 'whined'. They became independent from great Britain. Women 'whined'. They got the right to vote and the right to equal pay for equal work. Martin Luther King 'whined'. He was responsible for a great step forward for black Americans. 'Whine'. It is your right and your responsibility.

For one thing you are right. Blacks are statistically in (Times Magazine) are the poorest race in the country. If they were taking jobs wouldn't they be the richest? Some whites just want to think of a reason to be racist.

Because they know slavery was wrong but they don't want to acknowledge it because it did not happen to White people. I hate when some of them say,"The Jews got over it, why can't you(Blacks)." How ignorant can some people really get?!

It seems to me that whites only bring this up to retaliate against blacks doing the same thing and vice versa.

It's just the tired case of one ignorant trying to outdo the other....this is America what do you expect?

Things are never going to change here.

Read the answers and the questions from the black people, it's really evidence of their own blind hatred which is causing them so much harm. How can you accept such racism in yourself and deny it to everyone else?
