Well some people get it worse than others.... I got a few stretch marks on my stomach but after about a year they became light and blended in with my skin. The belly fat, well that's hard to get rid of but the best thing to do is plenty of sit ups. My gynocologist told me that a muscle around your stomach stretches when you become pregnant and you have to do sit ups to get that muscle to close back up otherwise you will have "the pouch". If you just had your baby I wouldn't worry about it too much b/c most of it will go away on its on, but if I were you I'd do at least 50 sit-ups a day. I know that news sucks b/c exercise is hard to squeeze in when you've just had a baby, but honestly that's the best and most effective thing you can do.

some women will always have fleshy looking stomach afterwords.. no matter how many sit ups and no matter how much you run. I knew my neighbor who had three pregnancies and her stomach hung down with extra fat.. she could not get rid of it at all.. she had to go and have a tummy tuck if she wanted a normal looking belly again. But I would ask a doc about what you can do with the loose belly fat.. they would know better how to get rid of it. And what to take to help you... goodluck... i'll probably be on here in may asking the same.. lol

My stomach has no wrinkles or stretchmarks whatsoever. I looked a little bloated for a few months, but sit up's took care of that and I'm back down to a size 2 and wear a bikini. People who have multiples, or gain too much weight would have a a harder time I'm sure.

5 months after i had my son i lost 50lbs. I went on a low carb diet, because my body doesn't do well at all with carbs. Drank lots of water and worked out 5 days a week. Once my husband got home it was my time to take care of myself. I also took my son for walks, walking and running is great for the body.
By time my son was 7 months old i had abs. The only way to get your body back in shape is exercise. Lifting weights, running, crunches anything that will make you sweat and works out your tummy. Tone up!

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

i agree that all women differ as to their stomach appearance after childbirth. for me, doing lots of cardio (running, dancing), taking dance classes, and doing lots of ab work helped. reducing carbs too. if i didn't do this, my belly would "pooch" out. it was not as flat as before childbirth, but i also have less time to exercise now.

sit ups help alot. Your stretch marks will always be there.. but will fade to a light silver. As for the flab... that is icky, lol... but sit ups take care of it
