Mostly, very intelligent of you to point this out. It's ironic that the democrats only seem to push candidates that voted in favor of this very unpopular war. Kerry voted for the war, and it was the biggest reason he lost. Hillary also voted for the war. It would seem logical for the democrats to find one their people who voted against it.

They are both equally bad. All they are in politics for is obtaining and retaining power and they will do anything to achieve that end. Look at how bad the pandering on the Republican side of the aisle has become since they have been in control of the Legislative Branch.

The only solution is from the voters. Quit settling for the best of the worst. Get out and actually work hard for your party, candidate or whatever. Of course there are a few powerful people in charge because no one is active in the system anymore.

there not that similar but i'd say compared to other Western countries, they're just shifted on the political spectrum

way off to the right are the republicans
while the democrats are more of a centrist party

that's why i laugh when people call democrats liberals because they are far from it

imo yes ... they give us the appearance of a choice but the actual policies are predetermined and they keep a good front battle for appearances and to keep people distracted ....
