here is what I would suggest. My son is 14 and is 5'81/2 so not as tall as yours, He is 216 lbs. Your said your son is muscle mine is not much into sports. I also have a nephew that is over weight. So if he is 5'10 175 and muscular he doesn't really sound that much over weight. I would suggest you limit his food to reasonable amounts (provided he wants to lose weight) Three reasonable meals(by this I don't mean starve him or give him 3 plate fulls of food) and, One snack, and a thirty minute walk a day to help with the extra weight. Also I would tell him that he is tall for his age, and that the other boys will catch up in size as they get older most boys do not hit there real growing spurt until they are about 15. I would also say that to bug the school to buy bigger uniforms, because they may say that is the biggest size but I would have to assume that they don't expect high schoolers to be the same size as junior high and I know they make bigger uniforms somewhere they have too. Colleges get football uniforms, so I would say the school is responsible to find a uniform that will fit. Expecting him to wear uniforms that are too small is not reasonable, so I would expect if you take it far enough they would have to find one to fit him.

It depends on if you are a man or a woman and what your bone structure is.

If you are a woman with a medium to large bone structure, you are probably at a perfect weight. Or, if you are a man with a smaller bone structure, your weight is also appropriate.

However, if you are a woman with a small bone structure, you might want to add a bit more exercise into your routine and get your weight into about the 160-165 range.

If you are a man with a large bone structure, you would be quite slender. If you are healthy, that's no problem, but a weight of about 185-200 might look better on you.

More importantly is to look at risk factors like blood pressure, cholesterol, triglyceride levels, etc. If you are healthy, feel well, and are happy with the way you look, you're probably doing just fine.

Yes. Your BMI is with 23.7 which falls into the healthy BMI range for your age and height which is 18.5 to 24.9. Without taking body composition into account, this translates into a weight of 136 to 184 lbs.

Hope this helps!

My senior year in high school I was 5'11" and 180 lbs. I was in fairly good shape from being on the swim team. My metabolism changed around 25 though and I put on weight.

I dunno about "for your age" but for someone younger it is about right.
