The cat would be so occupied with trying to eat the jelly toast that it would forget about landing on its feet!?!?!?!?

How funny! But I don't think there would be a right answer, because other animals would eat the jelly toast, and there'd be no experiment. haha

That's a pretty funny question but I would have to say that the cat would have more mass and therefore overtake the jelly rule.
