after living so long with them we never think that it is us who will be abandoned and we sometimes are in total shock when it happens. but we have to face the facts, and decide what to do, nothing else to do but to divorce them, as if we are abandoned it is apparent they don't want to be with us. and that they probably aren't coming back and there is probably another person now in their life. we just deal with it, by distancing our self from them, by severing all ties from any family members or friends we use to know and love. get rid of all pictures and things that remind us of them, even if it means we have to move from the family home. it may take years, to even begin to feel better, all this i think is caused by us putting that person up on a pedestal and worshiping them. we need to get angry we need to see the person for who they are, not who we thought they were. also we need to know that they have taken a different path, as they had a different thing to learn from life, and sometimes it isn't all about us, wasn't out fault.

If they have left you then you seek counseling and help to get past this and file for divorce for abandonment reasons. I have been through this so i know quite a bit about it.
