Maybe some people like the weather there. I'm not the type that's fond of the snow but others find it quite amusing. There are also many hills there and people wanna ski. Alaska is very enormous and probably has lots of room for other people to live there.Hey, who knows....maybe they just like the fish. :)

Because the landscape is so huge and grand and during the summer the sun is high in the sky for ever. So much so that time seems to stand still.

Then there is the wild life--bears, whales, wolves, mountain goats, bald eagles, etc.

There the water is a different color and the ice/snow turns blue.

Because it sounds like the last frontier. It really is very beautiful and untouched. Certainly worth a visit.

Thanks to those movies like March of the Penguins and Happy Feet, people think penguins actually sing and dance.
