why dr. dre hasnt sang since chronic 2001?? i mean maybe hes but i dont know so can some1 tell me why dr dre doesnt sing anymore my favorit song its whats the difference eminem dr dre and xzibit

Dre is Dre. He has a style that is individual and all his own. He has never changed up and never will. His music has stayed consistent and he has always been one of the greatest producers and rappers on the West Coast. He has earned the respect he gets. A lot of the younger people forget that music changes, just like now this new teeny bopper crap like Soulja Boy and Lil Wayne is hot that older artists have to somewhat "give in" and try to "fit in" with what is going on at the time. You have to look back at the music in the year 2001 and you'll see that Dre was right on point. Dre deserves all the props he gets. Peace, Love & Happiness

He's rapped on various albums after 2001 like The Wash Soundtrack(Bad Intentions, On The Blvd., The Wash), Eminem(Curtians down), Xzibit( U know, Sympony in X major), Obie Trice(S**t hits the Fan), Nate Dogg(Your Wife), DJ Quik(Put it on me) and produced other songs for even more artists,50 Cent, The Game,D-12(American Psycho II), G-unit(G'd up, Popin' them things) Mary J. Blige(Family Affair), Eve(Let me blow your mind), Knoc-turn'al(I Like), S - Pop Ent. Presents(40 Glocc - Finer Thangzzzz), Busta Rhyms(Break ya neck) are a few songs which there is more money in producing then the actually rapping, but his main problem is He's a perfectionist. He wants his album to be timeless yet at the same time raise the bar and be good from start to finish; always. So once He works on a track and finishes it and moves on to the next track; finishes it, and then goes back to listen to the first track he finished, He'll want to change it. But I'm sure there be a detox album.

Dre never releases albums in close proximity,just look at the
first chronic album he didnt do anything for 10 or so years after that.

I heard that he's supposed to be coming out with a new album called "the Detox"
but lately everyone is crying rumor and that he's not going to do it. I heard that it was supposed to come out like last year but he took it back cause he thought it wasnt good enough.
I think he does still produce some music i'm not sure if he's done anything new
