Actually it is pretty rare that there is some other planet out there just like Earth. I know it may seem hard to believe...with the enormous size of our universe and all but im not saying there isnt other life. It is just really complex to form solar systems that are stable enough to provide life... I mean, the way our moon got alligned up the way it is today, orbiting us from the perfect distance and such, is just amazingly lucky. It had to hit a meteor at the perfect angle and be knocked into orbit with Earth. I also heard theres a one in a billion chance theres other life but its nice to think that there was life at some time or will be in the future... Kinda hard to think there isnt with the size of the neverending universe

I don't believe in the concept of intelligent life elsewhere. The reason for this rather wavering belief is that we have no found any organism outside of our planet. The universe is undoubtly big, expansive and could be one of the many universes surrounding it. The question you have to ask yourself is, are we alone in this universe or in this entire web of galaxies? Could there be possibly hundreds of planetary worlds that we haven't uncovered because of their relatively far distance?
What about the black hole? Did the universe started out from the death of a star? If so, where are the other life forms in other moons, planets, etc?

Organic compounds are found all over the universe, in stars and nebulae. There are trillions of stars only in our galaxy, and most of these stars have some kind of planetary system. There have been discoveries of planets orbiting dual and triple star systems. So, I think that it is actually impossible for life to have originated only on Earth. Following the trend, intelligent life may be all over the universe.
So, in short, yes I absolutely do.

You are assuming there is intelligent life on earth. If we are the only intelligent ones in this vast space then we are in trouble!

Given the expanse of the universe, yes, logically, there should be at least one other occurance of intelligent life.

Assuming there was some here,we are 2% and two steps from primates.
We like to think we are smart,in our minds we are.Compared to primates we are.
To a superior intelligent life form,we are still just primates.

I agree with Heinz. We need to search for it here first. lol
But in answer to the question. As a scientist I see very much evidence to support the idea, and much evidence against. This is to say that I would not be surprised if they were found to exist, or if they are never found to exist.
