People, before you start spurting your infinate knowledge on subjects, do some research. Twins can share a placenta or have two seperate ones. Approximately 20-30% of identicals have seperate placentas. Also, not all fraternals have seperate placentas. New research has proven for the very first time that fraternal twins can share one placenta.
Also, for the person that said that identical twins come from one egg and two sperms, that is incorrect. Identical twins occur when one egg (fertilized by ONE sperm) splits. Check your facts people.

some do. It many times leads to atypical boost types and infrequently death simply by uneven nutrition and twine entanglement. same twins are plenty extra probably to share a placenta. same twins with one placenta could have separate amniotic sacs or be contained in only one sac. besides the indisputable fact that, in ANY twin being pregnant, one placenta can overlie the different ensuing in fused placentas. sometimes, even docs can no longer tell if there is better than one placenta, even after start and visually examining it. further attempting out could make sparkling.

Depends on the twins. In general, if you have identical twins, then they are sharing a single placenta. If you have fraternal twins, then they each have one of their own.

The placenta forms after implantation. If you have one egg that implants and then splits, you get identical twins. If two eggs implant, then you will have two separate placentas.

HOWEVER, there have been cases in which fraternal twins have indeed shared a placenta. If you are interested in this, the link is http://content.nejm.org/cgi/content/short/349/2/154

if they're identical they have the same placenta cause the sperm splits into 2 when fertilising the egg.

non identical are 2 seperate sperm that fertilised the egg so they will have they're own placenta, and grow in their own bag of fluid. although they're in ur belly at the same time they grow separatley
