I didn't understand at all until I had them. I used to say "there is no way I would let my kid do this or that" when I saw parents letting their kids do things, but when I had mine I completely understand. You have to pick your battles.

There are no problem kids, only adults with problems. Kids are the victims if adults cant handle or meet their own needs, much less provide care for a helpless child. Some people honestly should never have children, other people are meant to be parents.

No- having kids is not something you can imagine until you do it. It changes your entire view on life. There is nothing to compare it to- bottom line. I never wanted kids when I was young, now I can't imagine any other way.

I know kids are hard work, which is why I don't engage in the activities required to have them, and I won't until I'm happily married with a good enough job to support them.

As a grandpa of three beautiful granddaughters. age 5 and 3yr old twins who used to get to take care of them, and they were a handful.... now that they have moved far away I can say that they would be no problem at all... I would take care of them any time.
