How can I increase the volume of an adio file on my mp3?

Does the CD sound the same way in a CD player? If it sounds fine there, you may need to check your volume input and output levels. On macs, you go under system preferences...sound and then move the tab along to the highest setting.

Do you have external speakers? Crank those up as well. If not, buy some and plug them in.
