Well, I actually just got in from a weekend of skydiving. I just landed from my 37th jump a few hours ago. Skydiving has been the best experience of my life and will be a part of my life for as long as I am able to jump. I think that everybody should at least try skydiving once. Even if you don't like it, you can say that you have done it.

One common misconception that I would like to clear up is the ripcord issue. Modern-day skydiving (for fun or sport) gear does not have a ripcord- so you don't have to worry about it breaking. If you are curious about seeing how a modern-day fun/sport parachute works, check out this website:

I did go skydiving! And I'm afraid of heights, that's why I went!

Actually it was pretty easy. And safe. Now you're strapped to an advanced skydiver so basically you're just there for the ride. It's an experience I'll never forget and it's not really expensive. It's no like its unsafe, no cords break and nothing snaps; you'll be just fine! Just imagine telling your great-great-grandchildren!
Go! It's soooo much fun!

Even though I have never tried it, I would love to go....you always have a back-up parachute anyway and chances of both failing is slim.

Nope - I am afraid of heights and I am afraid of falling.

Once, just to say that I did it. It's up there with Cliff Diving.
