my school is full of kids that think they are in gangs they act tough and try to get pissed if you dis a certain gang or wear a certain color. what can the school and school officals do about it

Ha ha, I know. When I was in school, we had a little of the same thing, though not to the same extent as yours, in fact one day, I had a fight with my parents and on my walk to work, tried to pick a fight with three of them, and the three of them wouldn't take me on, lol, irritating little punks really.
Why there are so many wanna be gangs, guys/gals just want to belong to something. I mean, if you insult the football team in front of a football player, won't you the same amount of b.s. as you do talking trash about different gangs?
Well, school administrators just need to keep on top of the gang trends if they want to curb this. Ban hats if it's hats. If it's rags, well, ban and confiscate them as well. If it's rolliing one pant leg highter than the other, then ban that as well. If things get too out of control, a lot of large inner city school corporations have put in place school uniforms, which aren't nearly as bad as they seem.
It wouldn't hurt for school officials to have a reformed gang member or two come in, to make sure kids know that gang life doesn't actually get you very far in life, maybe one from each of the wanna be gangs to talk about it. Most are probably just in it for fun, for sport. Give 'em a break, they're losers.

A lot of kids have friends that are in gangs so they support wat there friends do. Most of them are in gangs one way or another. Or they don't want to be in a gang but are still the strong don't mess with me type. Not all of them act, it's just they way they are.

Donw in Texas they are doing something about it. sadly there are gangs all over and they should be ran out of town it seems the rest of the kids could do it but you have to be stong and band together i think you could do it if you tried all of you

hey, i'm in a school exactly like that, and all i do is laugh at them.
i dont think they can get rid of it though... but a lot of thinks they do can be stopped. like jumping people... its happened to me before. it isnt pleasent... but the problem with stopping that stuff is that it isnt easy to get all those people to snich on someone when once the person they ratted on comes back and pounds them... and drugs cant be stopped because... well people will always find ways for everything

uniforms and more counselling programs integrated into average school procedures instead of just counselling program children
but tis the nature of people especially teenagers to form groups and try to establish identitity and power.

same in my school. the staff wont do anything until one of the wanna bes starts a fight or threatens someone. theyre all idiots (the wanna bes)

there just doin it so that people would be afraid of them and so people would give their stuff away to them
the principal could do something about it......but I don't know what!
