Me..I'm 34..I'm 130 pounds. I fit in the teenage section but the style is too juvenile for me but the older woman's don't have any style.

I love this catalog called...www.newport-news.com

Look it up..Its a good site.

I am not over 30, but I have worked in clothing, and that is a very hard predicament for women. It's gotten easier though, because there are multiple specialty stores out there for that transition...The Limited, Ann Taylor The Loft, Express, and sometimes Old Navy.

Those stores carry clothes for almost every occasion...work, after 5 wear, some formal, casual and even very casual!

A lot of petite women have a really hard time shopping in a department store, because the junior jeans are too long, but the styles are great, adn the petite pants are ugly, but fit okay.

Try the specialty stores, they are more tuned to what you are going to be looking for, and what you are needing! Good luck!

I take a common sense approach. Most of my clothes are women's size because I am a professional, so I don't have much of a need for going out clothes. Also, the women's clothes tend to be better made. However, I think it is acceptable to borrow a little from both as long as it's not too young looking. If you have to ask, it is too young. I also follow the rule that if I was aware of my clothes when a certain fashion came in the first time, I am too old to wear it the second (see, i.e., legwarmers and leggings).

Yes!! crazy isn't it. I usually shop in the Jr. section mainly because its hard to find my size in misses or women's. Takes alot of looking to find something that doesn't look to young but its easier then trying to find something that fits in the other sections.

I feel the same way. I shop at Nine West, Ross, Burlington Coat Factory, Marshals, TJ Max. I buy what I feel good in. :-)

I am right there with you. I am 38 and weigh 120. I can't find anything that is approriate for work. I can find all kinds of things for the weekend. Maybe we need to bind together and form our own things.

You should not shop according to your real age but according to how you feel. I often buy things for my mom (gifts) in section for "misses" and she is actually 44.
