It sounds like a corrupt HTML code. There are so many of these out there it is hard to tell what one he used. There is no way to check and where is a designer he probably made a custom one. Your best bet would be to demand that he remove the code (kick him in the nuts, that'll bring it out of him).

Because every WYSIWYG program I've tried keeps inserting spurious characters into my code. The extra junk clogs up the code, makes maintenance harder and generally makes it more difficult to figure out what's going on. The other thing they fail to do is teach how the system is really working. When you write your own code, you get a much deeper understanding of what can and can not be done. That may not matter much for a casual personal webpage but it's vital if you want to call yourself a professional.

On the MySpace home/log in page:

Have a test mail sent by clicking the 'forgot my password' button. This e-mail will be sent to the e-mail on the account, if you don't have control of that e-mail, you can't change the password.

Fix: Once you retrieve your password, log in and change it.

its possible he did something with html (hyper text markup language, which allows us to see pages on our screen), or more probably HTTP (hyper text transfer protocol), which allows communication between servers/computers). still there is CGI (common gateway interface) which could be screwed up (CGI collects data in a form, which creates a database). sorry, i don't know how to fix it.

I think you are wrong, such a code can't be written in myspace, of course he has stolen your password and changed it. try to get your password back from him! ;)
