if she doesnt have it by monday they are going to induce. She is so miserable. Any suggestions or old wives tales to get her to go into labor?

I won;t suggest any old wives tales, they do not work. Just support your friend and be there for her. heck throw her a little party over the weekend celebrating the end being near. Inducing isnt so bad and it will all be over soon!

I tried everything, but it probably isn't very good for the baby. nothing I know of has actually ever worked with anyone I know. The baby will come when its ready. tell her to just relax. she'll need all her energy when she does go into labor. I have had both induced and not induced labor, it wasn't that different, just tell her to get the epidural. it was a godsend, didn't have that with my first. It doesn't hurt either, i actually think the IV in my hand hurt worse then the needle in my back.Tell her congradulations and goodluck

I think that I had tried everything that was possible and nothing worked for me but tell your friend to hang in there and it will happen when it happens or when the doctor induces her.

this worked for my sister in law: have her sit on the floor with her legs straight out in front of her; then try to touch her toes: this should break her water and, hopefully, induce labor.

Get on all 4s and wash the floor it is supposed to put the baby in the right position.
Or the fun way...have sex...gently but it works.

I was told by walking a lot, it can be induced faster.

I'm 36 weeks. the doctor told me walking helps. it might be hard to get around being so far along but hopefully it helps.

walk, walk, walk, ( i did jumping jacks and went into labor the next morning). stay hydrated. Sex is also good (dont get crazy) I feel for her, good luck to her.

have sex something in the amle sperm make labor come and tell her to go walking around and eat spicy food good luck!!!

Mix 2 table spoons of castor oil into a glass of orange juice and have her drink it. She'll get very loose bowls and after a few hours she'll start to contract.
