This question has been asked on Yahoo a gazillion times. If you check the archives (where it says "Search for questions" you will find a lot of answers. Nearly all of them say, No! Online degrees are not highly respected. Go to a real school.

Depends on the employer, or more importantly, the hiring manager. But they are becoming more and more accepted in the workplace. Some people do, however, still harbor a bias against them. I wouldn't let it deter you though, as long as the online university is accredited.

Any HR person in any company will tell you that an on-line 'degree/diploma/certifiate/whatever' is not generally accepted as being legimate. The worst offender...and the best known...is the "University" of Phoenix.

In two words: Hell No!

Most on-line universities are For Profit Corporations that are not selective in the least. Most employers will not take them seriously.

Find out if the 'college' is accredited
