Good for you! It is great you have this in common with parents!

When your age us kids listened to our dads music and both parents listened to mine. It is great when one comes from a family who likes different kinds of music. It is a great way for generations to come together.
My 16 year old listens to our music too. He says mom listen to this and it will be a grateful dead song or a America or ZZ Top song. We just laugh. Ya that is a great song, but do you know..then we will tell him the history of the musician and song.

Many songs are being redone these days. Rascal Flats new song that was on the movie Cars, about driving fast or something rather was a Chris Ledoux song cut years ago before LeDoux passed on. Ledoux even done a video on it that we have.

My father would wake us kids up dancing around the house to Fred Estaire (sp) and the others from his era. I think I have seen all the old musicals at least a couple times :0)

Just think to you can have all the music you want when you share the same music as your parents :0)

Hell yes! I'm impressed.

This isn't such an unusual thing though. We grow up listening to our parents favourite music. But my personal opinion is that it was generally better music back then. With that being said, I'm 35, so the music my parents listened to would have been the music your grandparents listened to! Oh my god, somebody shoot me now :)

Well at least one of you teenagers has good taste. Music now days sucks bad. I'm only 22, but I have always listened to Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Grateful Dead, etc... Or that could be just because I experimented with drugs at a young age... Who knows?

Not really, I am 23 and I listen to the music my parents listened to. If you grow up around it you will probably develop a taste for it.

Good for you. All types of music should be listened to at least once to develop a good rounded musical education. All music stems from the same notes.

that depends on what the music is lol , wait i change my answer yes! some of the crap ppl listen to today sucks! and makes me sick. if u can even call it music. lots of them play back a mix that they had nothing to do with and utter some words into a mike... what about all the legends that could play their instruments and sing. so yes i am impressed i wish there wer more out thee who knew how to hear music instead of just listening to it.

If you said grandparents I would be impressed. The 50s and 60s were the best.
