~When Romeo and Juliet fall madly in love with each other after just one meeting because it usually takes longer to get to know someone better.

If I had to choose, I would say the last one.
#1- People elope all the time (especially younger people)
#2- Poison was a popular way to kill someone at this time period.
#3- Usually there is not love at first sight, but with teenagers with crazy hormones, it is possible that they may THINK they are madly in love. As a teenager I was madly in love many times. But for the sake of argument... I would choose this one since most people don't believe in love at first sight.

I say the third one despite peoples claims that they could fall in love so quickly.
The second one is ok, but in those days apothecary's probably did hold onto poison for odd reasons. The only thing that is weird about it is that Romeo was Catholic, and should have been heavily against suicide.

Yes, people do marry in secret to avoid family conflict. So this is plausable.
Yes, please do die from drinking or ingesting posions. So they do this because their loved one dies and they can't live without them. Sadly, yes.
Do people fall in love at first sight to the extreme that Romeo and Juliet do? I doubt it. More fall into "LUST" and have sex.
So, my vote is for the " Falling in Love ". The intensity portrayed in the play requires you to suspend your disbelief otherwise the rest of the plot becomes rather ridiculous.

While this isn't one of the choices, suspension of disbelief for me occurs with THE SEQUENCE of Juliet's drinking the potion that causes her to fall into a sleep that leads to Romeo's thinking she killed herself, that leads to Romeo's killing himself, that leads to Juliet's killing herself.

They all could happen, for the last one it might not be true love, but it good be petrarchan love.
