I have this great invention, its called a "tree." It is so amazing, it breathes in Co2 and breathes out Oxygen! Its so high-tech that it "self-replicates" which means that all by itself it will create seeds and drop them, and they will in turn grow into NEW TREES!

Edit: bkc99xx commented that you would be taking credit for someone else's invention but I don't think this will count against you in Gore's contest. I'm sure Al "I invented the internet" Gore will understand.

Trouble with trees is that they do not keep the CO2 long enough. The tree takes CO2 from the air, separates it into C and O, releases the O into the air and incorporates the C into its wood. Later, maybe hundreds, but not thousands, of years, when the tree dies of old age, the wood rots and the C combines with O from the air and releases CO2 back into the air. For permanent removal you need something more like coral, which makes the CO2 into limestone which keeps the CO2 trapped for millions of years.

I really enjoyed your question and certainly your enthusiasm for trying to help poor old Al solve this problem.
The only problem is you may have crossed a line by trying to take credit for something that was already invented. You claim the tree, and he still probably thinks he invented the internet. But, hey, he may not know that after all. Good Luck.

Many people are probably going to try for this prize. Hey it's a lot of money. But I got to admit that it is really good. But hey you never know it could be you. Dont get your hopes up!! There is like a 15% you could win.

If Al Gore would shut up for a minute, he could reduce the CO2 output of his body by almost as much as if Nancy Pel-o-zzzzzz didn't demand a 757 to fly her fat ascot around the country.
I like trees, I burn them to reduce my dependency on foreign oil and natural gas in the winter.
