How do you turn off the blue flashing light on the N73?

I have exactly the same phone and the light you mention is a light sensor. This means that the less light there is in the room, the more the light will flash. To reduce this, do the following: go to "Settings", "Phone", "Display", "Light Sensor". Then move the Light Sensor either all the way to the left or all the way to the right {I forget which}. Either way, it should resolve the issue for you.
