Hi, I've got Vista Ultimate retail and have hooked up my HP LJ3020 All-In-One. It was recognized fine and installed...everything looks good. No errors in the event log, etc. When I try to print via a test print though, it almost immediately stops the job and shows an error in the print queue. I can't print anything. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this -- I've never had a USB printer that didn't just work. Thanks,

Stu

I think you need a driver update.

Right now, it is no surprise. Vista has so many compatibility issues right now. I would say uninstall it and wait for some software updates to be released for the printer and then reinstall vista. Or return Vista to the store and get a refund before it is too late.

How previous is your printer? some older printers won't artwork with Vista. have you ever been waiting to apply it in the previous? if so, attempt to apply device fix and fix your laptop back to a back whilst the printer worked.
