In Wisconsin, a local franhise called Culvers is widely recognized as the best take-out burger. It's called the Butter Burger and it's a fresh all-beef patty cooked to order and sandwiched between a lightly buttered and grilled bun. The fact that they grill to order and use fresh beef is a lot of why it tasted so good. The buttered bun is the signature item.

Braums. Known as an Ice Cream joint, I was surprised to find a near erfect burger. But i found something out too. Really, it's just this one cook.

So I don't know what his secret is...could be spit or something more obscene but what the heck do I know.

I DO know this much, the meat they serve is grade A, not too lean not too fatty and cooked to perfection by this one guy. And the cheese is real American Cheddar, not government cheese product...
