If, if, if. I'll attempt to answer your questions though. First, if the extemists do take over the world which would mean they have defeated the armed forces of the developed nations then, no, I won't be thankful or impressed that my next door neighbor has a useless gun. If the armed forces of the developed nations cannot stop them my neighbor will have little impact.

I may be liberal but I am also a Christian. If the Islamic extremists take over I will indeed be as vociferous with them as I am for the GROUP OF Christians (it isn't all Christians I have a problem with) that attempt to redraw our liberties in this nation.

If anyone, and I mean anyone threatens this nation I will defend it. I have done so before. I am a proud veteran who served his nation honorably in time of need. How dare you infer that because I am a liberal I am any less patriotic than you. Have you served your nation in a time of war? How many wounds did you receive fighting for your country? Most veterans are aware that we serve in order to protect everyones right to have and voice an opinion.

If you would take the time to pick up a book or two you will see that this nation has always been culturally diverse. The "American part" has changed constantly through the years as a result of new arrivals.

You sir, encourage divisiveness through your judgmental question. Divisiveness within is a far greater threat to this nation than any enemy from without could ever hope to be. So let me ask you, why do you work so hard against the best interest of this nation. We can and will disagree. However, until we learn to conduct mature political discourse without judgement, hatred and sarcasm we will not working together as a nation. For the life of me I cannot not understand how anyone thinks that is a good idea.

1. It wouldn't make a difference, if that were to happen everybody will be such ball-less wonders that they won't know what to do with their little pee shooters.
2. You are misinformed moreso than you claimed I was when you answered my question pal, Islam does not suggest that Christians are to convert to Islam. They live side by side in many countries all over the world without a problem, get educated!
3. What threat are you refering to? Abortion is never an acceptable solution.
4. The US is a growing EMPIRE and nothing else. You must be one of the few who are not affected by the greed, carelessness, and callousness that this capitalistic empire has to offer or take.
5. America can be as cultuarally diverse as it wants as far as I'm concerned, but there are a few things to remember whether we like it or not. This country was built upon Christian values, for others to come along and try to sway us from that is wrong. Our laws have been changed to suit others for thier own selfish purposes and this is why this country is the way it is today. If kept in check and balance as it is supposed to be, this country would and could be a great place for all decent people to enjoy.

Why are you so mean?

There's nothing wrong with Islam taking over the world. I don't care what religion people follow. They certainly won't mind that I don't attend their church, or whatever it is they call their house of worship, right?

Followers of Islam are generally just innocent goat herders. We don't need guns against farmers, do we?

I think it would be nice if there were hundreds of millions more Muslims in the world. My neighborhood doesn't even have a Middle Eastern restaurant.

What are Socialists? Are they like the people who are the life of the party? If so, bring on those fun loving dudes and gals. My parties are boring. Maybe I should invite some Muslim friends for beer and dancing. You know, we could do some hip hop remixes of black rappers and Muslim prayer music. It would be like super cool.

So like dude, in the last part, are you talking about whether too much variety in our culture waters down our culture? I mean like, ok so there's so many rappers who are kind of illiterate, and all the Mexicans in the neighborhood never learn English, but there's still enough old fashioned whites to keep things running smooth, aren't there?

1. I'm fully aware that I may die of any number things-a car accident(far more likely than terrorism, statistically) or cancer(I don't have the resources to fight it-my friend currently dying of cancer received a bill-not covered by her insurance-for $27,000 for 3 months. She thinks she can pay for it using her death benefit! She works-yes, still working as much as possible-at a hospital! So, many of us have larger worries than radical Muslims. There are many moderate Muslims which you ignore. One of our biggest problems has always been being pushed or led by extreme ideals-and today the extreme evangelical right doesn't represent most Christians either.

I don't believe life would be worth living in the totalitarian vision you have. I don't want to live in a constant state of war or fear. This is really an argument about the vision for the USA-what kind of America will we have?

"There will be no curiosity, no enjoyment of the process of life. All competing pleasures will be destroyed. But always — do not forget this, Winston — always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face …for ever." (Part III, chapter III) 1984/Orwell

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Göring while in his jail cell during the Nuremberg Trials

1) and 2) Militant islam isn't about to take over the world -- why are you so scared of a few nuts jobs proclaiming the new caliphate when it is obvious that Muslims can't get along with each other -- see Afghanistan, Iraq and Palistine. And a neighbor with a rifle wouldn't do much against this fantasy invading muslim army of yours -- that would never reach our shores anyway since our Air Force and Navy would blow them out of the water --

3) Banning abortion won't stop abortion and won't significantly effect the birth rate.

4) Incomprehensible.

5) different strokes for different folks -- who are you to define what it means to be american.

1. I don't deny that militant, radical Islamics could try to take over the world. At that time, I will fully endorse the full power of the US military to fight them. And if the conservative next door wants to go fight them with his gun, I would endorse that too.
2. If any enemy was to invade and occupy my community, I would fight them do the death.
3. What? I don't see the connection. Are you saying we need to start breeding more to increase our numbers?
4. If they truly threaten America, then I would vote them out. If they took power in a dictator type manner, then I would support a revolution.
5. People can be whomever they want, as long as they follow the laws.

1. I have my own weapons, thank you very much.

2. I would never convert to Islam, under any circumstances.

3. I am a catholic, and therefore I do not believe in abortion.

4. What do you mean by threaten? If a socialist party is democratically voted in, then they are voted in, and the only recourse is to vote them out, if in fact that is what the people want.

5. America is a free society, and therefore it will naturally be culturally diverse.

1. Funny - I thought Republicans followed the bible. What about Thou Shalt not Kill. I didn't read anywhere in the bible that makes exception to that rule...to suit convenience.

2. If the Islamists take over the world, and I wanted to keep my life, I would do whatever I had to do to survive.
3. If the Islamists are that much of a threat, I would not want to bring a child into such an unsafe and unhappy world, just to keep the good ole boys population going...
4. I would listen to what they offer - weigh the pros and cons - and make my decision from there.
5. A culturally diverse nation is much more appealing to me. New York City, for example, with all its ethnic excitement and food and diversity is far more appealing than Tennessee - no offence to Tennessee.
