If you had a period more than likely you are not pregnant. So it would be a waste. You can take the test anyways, but the chances of you being pregnant are slim.

You can take a pregnancy test at any time during your cycle (the test checks for hormone levels in your urine) but it's not necessary to take one unless you've actually MISSED your period. Any other time is usually just a waste of money and a test but it works just the same. Some people continue to get their period during pregnancy (tho uncommon and usually the periods are very light) so if you are concerned, you could always take a test to be sure.

The rule of thumb is to test after a MISSED period. However, if you got your period but still suspect a pregnancy you can test. Before during or after you period....it makes no differences. It is possible to be pregnant and still get a period just not highly likely. Best of luck.

I'm not a doctor but have some experience with this from my teen dating days.
It is possible to still get your period in the first stages of pregnancy so getting a positive result after having a period is possible.
See a doctor for sure.

I agree with Hello
take the test see what happens, some women have their periods throughout their pregnancies, or for a short time. If it was not a regular period (if you noticed you only had it for a few days or you got it late) anything different from your reg. period, their is a possibility. mommy of 3 (13, 10, 20 months)

that was a little confusing, but if you got your period your most likely not pregnant, unless your saying you took a test after your period and got a positive, then it is very possible that you're pregnant, it's very hard to get a false positive.

Well after your period means you're not pregnant. Otherwise you wouldn't be getting your period. Then again if you had unprotected sex right after your period left, then there might be a posibility.
