The mountainous nature of Greece ensured that the Ancient Greeks lived in separate communities that were difficult to unite and so a number of different City States developed. These City States were given to quarreling over boundaries and trade related matters. Therefore one must say that the mountainous nature of Greece encourage DISUNITY, and not unity as the other three factors you mention did.
