Sounds like a panic attack to me--I get the exact same symptoms. Numb fingers? Tightness in your chest? Kept feeling like something really bad was going to happen to you because of it? Yeah, I know what you're going through.
See a doctor for anxiety if it's really getting to you. It can interfere with school and work and most people just don't understand how physical the symptoms of anxiety can be.

Senior med student -
Yes, those sound like they could be panic attacks. I wouldn't get too worried about this..they sound very annoying but it's not anything life-threatening. I would advise talking to your parents and going to see a doctor...they can prescribe medicine for panic attacks. The doctor will ask what is causing the panic attacks - it could be something you are worried about. Either way, hope you get better.

Sounds like a panic attack. People over- breathe when they panic. Try to breathe in and out slowly and count to ten. This usually helps to take the mind off of the symptoms of panic attack.

sounds like social phobia, or anxiety disorder, or yes even panic disorder.
There are therapists who deal specifically with these issues, you should have your parent set up an appointment. The therapist can determine whether or not medication would be appropriate for you.

Can you think of what might be bothering you, honey? Is anyone at school picking on you? This is something you should talk to your parents about and maybe a doctor. You're to young to have this happening to you. I'm not saying it's not happening, I believe you when you say it is. Talk to your parents. They love you and I'm sure they want to help you.

Yes, a panick attack to. You need to really try to relax, have you ever tried Meditating? It takes practice, you get racing thoughts at first, but the idea is to accept any thought and let it pass until you don't have anymore. Just concertrate on your breathing. "In and Out" "Good and Bad" "Hmmmm and SAAAA" Say one to urself as u inhale, the other as you exhale. :) Good luck, I hope you get better
