I have the OSE version of this player and can play cd-r's no problem I use TDK-RXG Audio mostly, however I've got some older stuff on Imation & Verbatim data disks that play fine also.

Have you finalised the disk in the burning software? If the disk is open for multi session writing then it can cause problems with CD players.

Try burning a disk on someone else's PC if you can, it may be your CD burner. I had a burner once that I bought of e-bay that was a bit hit and miss at burning stuff.

You could also look on www.avforums.com to see if anyone else is having a similar problem with the same player.

If you feel you have a problem with the player then take it back to where you bought it, show them the problem and ask them to test it for you. Most hi-fi shops are quite obliging in this area.

Its possible that your cd player isnt compatable with cdr discs i had one that wasnt. Or it maybe you hadn't properly finalise the cd and its still open to add tracks.
