The only way to get out of a cell phone contract early without a fee is if you are moving out of the country. (Or if you die, but you really can't make that call, now can you). I work at a cell phone store. I am 100% possitive.

So enjoy your time in Brazil!!!

If you want to cancel you should be able to just call and cancel if you are out of contract.

go to their store to talk to a real person and cancel it. it's best not to just let it go. they might call a collection agent. that would mess up your credit rating.
