How do you start a HP up in safe mode?

Hit the F8 (sometimes it's the F2) key repeatedly as soon as it starts to boot up until it takes you to a screen where you can choose to start the PC in safe mode.

usually its f12 but consult your manual for the proper way to boot up an HP in safe mode
