The crown is 7 pounds! I place it in a tub with a volume of 100 units cubed! Now what do i do? Do i jus divide and get my answer? The equation is D=M/V Density=mass/volume! Help! Fast!

the volume is measured by the displacement of the water in the tub. If you start out with say 100 units cubed and you put in the crown and the water level rises to 130 units, then the volume is 30 units cubed. then you divide. 7/30=density

7 pounds is a unit of weight not mass
So to be accurate you would need to convert your 7 pounds to grams by multiplying it times 453.59. Then you can divide that by the amount of water displaced. Your density would be expressed in grams per units cubed or grams per milliliter if you want to use the unit for liquid volume.
