There is an RJ-45 connector on the back of your x-box which you can use to connect the X-box to a spare RJ-45 socket on your broadband router / modem using a bog standard category 5 networking cable. This should then allow your x-box to connect to the internet without using a wireess adaptor,

If your modem / router only has a USB connection then you can't connect it to your x-box.

best to have broadband tho
