If the world is 4000 years old, than why are the chinese in their 4700th year?

Doesnt the chinese calender year last about the same as the western one. So how can it last longer than when god made the earth only 4000 years ago.

Noah was around about 10,000 years ago. Who says the earth is 4000 years old? Not christians.
