I have very irregular periods like once every 4 months. is that normal and how would i know if i was pregnant if i already have "missed" periods? What other symptoms to look for?

sounds like you need a good gyn doctor, from what I hear, women with cyst and fibroids experience irregular periods, could be a number of things, also diet plays a part in how you experience your periods. Can't really know until you see a gyn doctor.

Getting your period every 4 months is NOT normal. You really should discuss that with your doctor or gynecologist. Also discuss trying to get pregnant, or trying to avoid getting pregnant.

There are no symptoms that will tell you that you are definitely pregnant (or definitely not pregnant). You can do a search for "pregnancy symptoms" but you could have any or all of the symptoms and not be pregnant, or you could be pregnant and have no symptoms!

It would be hard to tell without taking a pregnancy test every month.
