I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any instances of two opposite transgenders (1 male to female and 1 female to male) families?
My partner and I are both TG, one of each and we have a son. My concern is that I read lots of stories of CD's or only a M2F and a woman, who gets their kid taken from it, or the judge orders them to cease their activities or have their child taken. But with 2 TG's I'm wondering if that is a valid concern seeing as how we will still have a male and female in the household??

I don't think they can take your child away simply because you're trans - they'd have to prove you're an unfit parent. Gender and sexuality do not/should not matter (gay parents don't get their biological kids taken away simply because they're gay, either). The reason child services would remove a child is if they're in a dangerous environment (for whatever reason).
If your child is your biological child, you'll have a good chance. If you've adopted, it would depend on your case worker/social worker and their thoughts on trans families. But if they come at you out of the blue and accuse you of being an unfit parent because you're trans, I'll be very surprised. There's also the issue of custody in partner break-ups (trans parents could be at a disadvantage here if the court doesn't understand one can be trans and a competant parent), but generally custody will go to the biological parent(s), or the parent(s) who are deemed 'fit'.

My advice is to see a lawyer, so that you know your parenting rights inside and outside. That way you'll be prepared if anyone raises questions. But aside from providing a stable, loving and supporting home for your kids, I can't see them having a foundation for removing your child simply because the parents are trans.

I've yet to read or hear about a child being taken away from a transfamily.I can see a couple of ways some conservatives might try, but then again I can see a way win each court case unless the judge is transphobic.

most courts will not take a biological child away from thei parent. if the child is ok with the transition and is healthy and taken care of there is no justification for removal of the child.

just be good parents, its no one elses business.
