The fact that the war was started on KNOWN bad Intel which was fed to the American people and Congress, I think it says without a doubt we should never have gotten into the war with Iraq. There were many people who told Bush that Iraq was no longer trying to get WMD and Bush ignored them and did what HE wanted...he is the "Decider" after all. Not only that, but Bush ignores anything that anyone says that he doesn't agree with. With that said, I think the war in Iraq is an illegal war which never should have been started.
The War in Afghanistan is totally different though. We NEED to get Al queada there if we have any chance at decreasing Terrorists. We should NEVER have taken our eyes off of Iraq. I am saying all these things as a VETERAN of the USA.

I think that we jumped the gun and went in too soon. Too many people have died because of this war. I understand that this is a war and soldiers die in war, but every time I turn on the news or open the front section of the paper there is always a large group of soldiers being killed. I just don't understand why the Iraqi people want us to defend them and then kill us and blow us up.

Iraq and Afganistan are just the early skirmishes in the greater global war against islamo facisim that will last well into the next generation. The islamo facist threat is greater than the threat of Nazism. There are way more of these nut cases globally to deal with than there were Nazis.

We are fighting an Ideology and in order to win, we need to stomp it ALL out. But the DEMS won't allow that. In fact, they would rather sit and do nothing and take the wait and see approach. Worked well for Clinton eh? By him doing basically nothing, 93 WTC, Navy Ship bombing, African US Embassy bombing and 9/11 were planned and carried out. Now, we are in this mess. Pulling out will not work or make it go away.
And look at all the loons answering here that BUSH is the problem.. They don't get it and will NEVER get it....The terrorists love them.

I believe america has won this war.I feel the winds of war are ending.Although what we see is turmoil and kamakazee style attacks, the result is only dramitic for a short time at least here.I see victory in the capture and trial of a madman dictator proven by results from trial declared in a legal recognized court led by men of the region.A few strings left untied I realize, like the man behind the plan and most certainly an enemy of the united states and our allies,?Usoma bin ladden? He refuses to give the world evidence that he indeed does still command. With today's technology in the film industry, can there be positive proof?I would like to see him brought to trial as well as those whom help him.Weapons of mass destruction. The plan that was to a degree carried out on 9/11,could be considered a weapon of mass destruction.Did weapons of mass destruction exist?Sure they had weapons capable of mass destruction, just ask kuwait! All the while usoma uses [his god] to convince those around him that murder of american civilians as well as american military as well as our allies [as his edict ordered offered as evidence] civilians and military,be absurd.I must ask, what kind of supreme energy [god to me] being would order the destruction of those whom he must have created? Not within logic.Yes while it will take time to assure the people of that region a security capable of protecting the current leaders and civilians, stability is slowly returning evidence offered in the return of soccer for their people rather than a little lady being shot in the back of her head in front of all including her children.yes I say, this war is just and this war in being won by america's finest.Their sacrifice you can not understand. Thanks america's soldiers of fortune.

My point of view is that people should not accept very, very negative opinions without real evidence supporting those opinions.
"They always lie" is not a substantial statement.
Americans broadcasting anti-US statements on this international internet forum is pretty much what a traitor would do.

You win a war of ideology by changing the minds of the followers of the opposing ideology. Not by giving the followers of that ideology fuel for hate. That's not appeasement. That's not easy.
That's the truth.

Blood, murder, tears, hatred, revenge and then again - blood, murder, tears, hatred, revenge and no profit to anybody.
God will punish for crimes sooner or later. The time proved it.
I want my grandchild to live in a peaceful world without bombs and silly presidents, who wage wars in order to save the world. let the world save itself. It's not too silly to kill itself!!!)))
