I just want to apologize for all the horrible and heinous things I've said about the users of yahoo answers, most in particular CombatCandii, Ms Fall, Hunter, I Love Davey HAVOK, Dan D, Morgan B, AFI_sXe88, Viola_playr4life. for the offense and trwuma I've caused. I have received 2 posts, that definitely has changed my views, and I do realise that I should not punish all AFI fans and band members themselves for one bad experience I had with an AFI fan, who wasn't really a good one to begin with. I understand my behavior is that of a poseur, because I didn't believe in myself, and furthermore slandering the bands name with falsehoods. I do know now that I should follow my opinions and not reflect mine off of other peoples. I'm very sorry. I should be happy for their success, and know that they are still humble and well respected people, have to be if you continuously lash out on me for these posts I've made in the past.
I'd like to especially thank Bella Mars(CombatCandii) and Ms. Fall

I'm sorry I slandered your name to the point you had to change it, due to harrassment from other members, CombatCandii

The posts that changed me:

One minute you make posts on how much you HATE AFI, next minute Hunter finds out that you telling people to buy ALL AFI cds, and that they are an amazing band (well duh)

READ UP, I'm only gonna put this once.

What I think happened to you is that you must have had a bad encounter with another AFI fan. I'm guessing you must have heard of them in the past couple of years, and must have been really into them.

Someone must have given you crap for being a new fan, and now your lashing out.

Look dude,
It doesn't matter how long your a fan, it just matters that you're into them. I know some people who have been into them since "miss murder" and I love that they enjoy AFI's music as much as I do. I've known AFI fans who've been fans of theirs for over 10 years, and still are to this day. I know some new fans who are going back album by album and listening to the old stuff, and they love them even more. I WANT more people to get into them.

They love and appreciate ALL fans. It is a wide known FACT that AFI adore us fans, they talk about us, every chance they get. AFI has one of the most respected fan communities around. Whether your in Despair Faction or not. Thats why most fans are protective of them.

I'll tell you what a real AFI fan isn't...someone who listens to them because their friends do, or only because Davey and Jade are hot, sh*t even some of the fangirlys love their music. (I just like pickin on them, because they're making themselves look stupid), people who are more concerned with who their dating than their music, and lastly people who aren't happy for AFI's success and left them all together because of it.

You dont have to know all those things I asked you in your other post(you were just talking sh*t and I called you out on it), because you're accepted because you like their music, whether it is "miss murder" "girls not grey" "god called in sick today" or freakin "high school football hero"

So stop all the nonsense.
(that was from Bella Mars/CombatCandii)

This one is from Ms Fall

Yeah, and?

Noone cares because right now its been 9 hours since this quesion was posted and noone else has posted.

I don't even care anymore. You remind me of Jekyll and Hyde.
Sometimes I like and respect you but in other days you come off as a close-mined bastard. That's the bit when we just lash out at you.

If you talk trash about AFI or any other user with no real valid reason, then you'll receive no respect from people and you won't be taken seriously.

If you like AFI then that's great and we'll welcome you with open arms regardless of all the sh*t that's happened.

thank you both. I don't expect anyone to answer this unless you know what happened.

Yeah, I accept your apology and take back what I've said.
I just hope you mean it.

BTW, it doesn't matter how long you've liked AFI. As long as you're not a fan-girl and you don't talk sh*t about them, then you will be respected.

You just have to remember though that the world is not a kindergarten class. You will get beat up by some idiotic, elitist fans be it on the street or on an online messageboard.

It's something you just have to get used to. All you have to do is handle yourself well. I've been through that phase. There were times when, after just discovering AFI, I'd be intimidated by older fans, even on an online messageboard.

I don't know what provoked that bad encounter of yours with an AFI fan. But I can say that we don't like fan-girls who go "Davey is so hot, I love him!!". Or "this band sucks" for no real valid reason.
Even comments like "OMG!! I LURVE AFI so much!!! They are the BESTEST band in the whole wide world!!" gets to my nervve at times. Sure you love AFI but calm down, please.

Also it doesn't matter if you're in the DF or not. Here's a quote from Jade. I think this is the one EBHC was looking for.

"The Despair Faction is not meant to be something that members can hold over the head of those who don't belong. We realize not everyone can afford membership but, at the same time, we want to make sure that everyone who did join gets the most for their money. The upcoming shows did not sell out so quickly because DF members got first crack at the tickets, they only comprise a small portion of the people who will be there. They just simply sold out fast. Furthermore, we'll be coming through your town so many times in the next year that'll you'll be sick of seeing us.
I know there's alot of people who are dedicated fans and simply don't have $30, you will be well taken care of and will get into shows even if I have to come pick you up at your house, take you to the show, and sneak you in the back door in a drum case.
Now let's all make like Rodney King and get along."

"Fine, if you want Davey to sneak you in, it'll probably be in some little makeup case or something, which is not nearly as comfortable. Did I mention the drum case comes with all-you-can-eat corn dogs?"

i accept your apology. =)

in the future, don't let other people's opinions sway your own opinions.

i will always be an AFI fan, and even tho i've only been a fan for about a year, that doesn't mean that i'm not as big a fan as the ones who have been fans for 15 years.

i totally respect your courage to admit your mistakes.

join the AFI and DF board if you haven't already. everybody there is really nice, and they will back u up when u need help. =)

Of course we forgive you, Bud! :]

Just remember what I told you, don't let anyone get to you, no matter what it is. Remember a fan is a fan. Whether you know ALL songs, one, or even half a song. I'm glad we were able to help you see how you were handling your problem was wrong way to go, and of course I respect the heck out of you for apologizing, and posting it in public. thats really mature. We love ALL AFI fans. <3

So I also, take back everything I say.

I'm sorry too,
i shouldn't had said those things to you, i just had enough of people talking about afi, and they don't even know them.
people don't give them a chance, they just judge them, for the way they look, and things.
i just hope that people will change, and sooner or later their going to learn from their miss takes.
I'm glad that things have change between us, and hope that you can fore give me, and we can be friends.

Hey Bud B, how ya doing. It takes a very brave and special person indeed to admit that they were wrong and to apologize for it. You did the right thing and should be proud of yourself for that. Great Job!

you really have said alot, that takes alot of courage and im glad to see that these experiences can change you for the better if i were to meet you on the street i would still give you the opportunity of just talking to you just to get to know you. i beleive everyone deserves a fair chance and some deserve a second.
