I could be a sign of both. The only pregnancy symptom I have had so far was missed period and lots of cramping. I'm almost 7 weeks, and the cramping is still there.
Doc says it's usually normal.

It can be both. Some women experience slight cramping due to implantation of the blastocyst in the uterine lining. This normally occurs around the same time you would expect your period so it is easily confused. If you don't get your period within the next couple of days I suggest taking a preg. test. Good luck!

It can be both, the best way to know is to take a pregnancy test and go to your doctor. I had period like cramps when I first got pregnant and when I went to the doctor they confirmed I was pregnant.

Cramping is a sign both found in early pregnancy and a sign of premenstral symptom. Wait it out and if your late and take a test you'll know your answer. Good luck!

It really just depends, are you late on your period? are you about to start your period? Or are you in the middle of your cycle?
If you are late, it could be you may be about to start, if you are pregnant and cramping then it is said you have REALLY bad cramping and severe bleeding when you have a miscarriage,
If you are about to start, I would give it a few days and you will prob. start by then,
If you are in the middle of your cycle, then you could be ovulating. When you ovulate you may feel some pain or cramping where your ovaries are located, will last a few hours and then go away, good luck to you

Both really, sometimes the cramping for pregnancy feels a bit different, almost like stretching.

it's a sign of both. of course we all know about cramping b/c of a period. but when the egg is fertilized, it goes through a process of shedding... which can also cause cramping.

both. cramping (abdominal pain) can signify that your embryo has been implanted in the lining of your uterus, so your body is preparing for pregnancy.
also, if you typically get cramps like you're feeling at the moment around your period, then it may just be your period.
if you are completely unsure and want to know, i suggest ordering online the cheap home pregnancy tests (they are actually just as good--in my opinion--as ept tests)
you can look at the dipstrip or midstream

Actually it can mean either. When I first found out I was pregnant, I was cramping so bad I thought I would start my period any minute
