Okay, I need some help here! I took 3 home pregnancy tests last weekend, all were positive. My period is late, my breasts are tender, and I've been really tired. I was so excited I called right away to see the doctor. I took the urine test at the office and it was negative!!! I was so upset and confused....I then went to the store and bought 2 different brands of tests and tried those out and they are positive too. They then did a blood test and the result is 700...so definitely positive! I'm really excited, but can't help but be really nervous too because of that urine test. Do you think it was a fluke, or do you think I should worry?

well i think you have had about a dozen positives, and the blood test confirmed so just forget about one urine test and enjoy being pregnant
congrats!!!

Doctors use the same kinds of test as we do, so they might not have had a very sensitive one. I know some doctors use less sensitive tests to rule out chemical pregnancies (when you are pregnant early but for whatever reason your body doesn't keep it and you get your normal period). Hey, there is always the possible false negative...which is what you got at the doc. I would rely on the quantative test (the 700 one) since that gives you a better assumption as to how far along you are. That sounds good for you, and if your REAL concerned...you could say you are cramping real bad and go in for an early sonogram or possibly to hear the heartbeat, depending on how far along you are! Good lucka nd congrats!

Doctor's test's aren't alway right either. If you have taken that many home pregnancy tests and they have come out positive and they did a blood test and it came out positive then you are. Don't worry about being pregnant just take good care of yourself and get lots of sleep. You have a beautiful baby growing inside of you. Hang in there and everything will be fine.

False negatives are pretty common (even with a urine test at the doctor's office). However, false positives are rare (especially with blood tests). So I'd say you're definitely pregnant.

No worries, you're definately pregnant! The blood test is much more accurate than the store-brand urine tests. Also, some urine tests are less accurate early on in pregnancy.
Congrats, Mama!

well lets take a look at what we have here-- 1 neg test and 6 positive tests-- i know that you can get a false neg and its very very rare to get a false pos so i would say that you are pregnant girl! Congrats! Take good care of yourself and get lots of rest. Good luck!

that one test had to be a dud or maybe your urine was diluted from drinking a little extra water or something!!! if you got a positive blood test then don't worry about it and CONGRATS!!
