I am having my son a b-day party racing theme, i am looking for racing merchandise like racing flags and the black/white checkered finish line, I have searched the web already, no luck, i am in the Los Angeles area, please help!

Lots of party supply stores carry such things. Check your local yellow pages or www.mapquest.com. Party City is a good one; they have plenty of locations in the LA area (locations on www.partycity.com)..
