I am interested in starting an online business?

Question

I would like to start a business making custom invitations, birth announcements, etc. but have no idea where to start. Does anybody give me the what my first step would be. Ebay has been mentioned but I'm not familiar with that either. Do I just post my completed work for a price.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

You first step is to understand what you are missing. A successful online business requires three things, technology, marketing, and operations. eBay is a good place to search for your own web business. Type in "web site" or 'turnkey" ...look for the types that are 100% yours.
